We decided with Sojourn, that as neither of us had ever visited Jamacia Cay, and as the weather was mild enough for us to enter the shallow anchorage, we’d go and explore the uninhabited island that had once hosted a small exclusive resort.
We had a lovely sail, and dropped anchor in the shallow but protected bay.
We found the buildings in an advanced state of disrepair
Papaya tree growing in inside the building. A very happy tree, totally protected from the wind
Many of these Fruit Trees. I am not sure what they are

Another building in disrepair
This one looks like it might have been an Reception or DockMaster office
Another small Papaya tree struggling to grow
We decide to try walk across the island, but we’d not brought Bush Whacking tools and so we scrabbled through the undergrowth trying to find an old path
Trying to find a path
We gave up, and returned across to the anchorage side, and headed for these coconut trees which were fairly low and full of coconuts
Here I am boosted by Nicholas and Duane and Karen
I managed to reach the coconut and cut two down
We found this old generator
Tankers on the shore, which we assume were Gasoline for the islands Generators etc

Meshugga at anchor
Penny and Jenny waiting for the rest of us to return from our adventure
Back at Meshugga, Nicholas and Mike decided to dive the reefs and surrounding islets for fish and conch
No Fish worth shooting for the pot, No Conch either
Lobster season is closed, and none were spotted. The reefs are pretty barren.
Fun catching up on your blog! Glad your trip back was uneventful! :-)
