Bahamas - Ragged Island, Hog Cay, Another Week of Paradise

Another week in Hog Cay has flown by. Our anchorage is busy with 11 yachts this week, and we met the wonderful crew of SV Selah. Brad and Johanna, and Tim, Johanna’s brother. After a few drinks at sunset, we organized a BBQ cookout ashore, and had a superb dinner with excellent company.

Nicholas’ birthday, 21 April arrived and we celebrated with Lemon Meringue

And Cocktails in local picked coconuts

We had Brad and Johanna aboard Meshugga for drinks and snacks whilst Nicholas and Brad continued their discussions of Lithium Batteries, and looked at Nicholas’ installation.

A superb sky, but no Green Flash

Saturday saw Johanna, Tim and I doing a long walk to the East Beaches. Our anchorage looking idyllic

Sunday morning arrived with the Bahamas Defense Force doing random checks on the yachts to ensure everyone is properly cleared in with valid Cruising Permits and Visas

The weather continues to get hotter and hotter, with temps constantly, day and night, around 26/27 deg Celsius. The wind is light, and continues that way for the next 10 days according to Windy.

Take Care

  1. Hey Dee and Nicholas - looks like you are still having a lovely time! Your photos make me feel like we're back there for a few minutes anyway. Hope the project is going well and look forward to the summary when complete!
